High Performance Hard DriveCombining Advanced Format technology, 7200RPM HDD, large cache and SATA 3Gbps interface, Travelstar 7K750 delivers speed and capacity, without sacrificing battery life or audio quality, to meet the multi-tasking demands of commercial and consumer users on the go.
Eco-Friendly & Low Power ConsumptionThe Hitachi Travelstar 7K750 drive boasts halogen-free design and low power consumption to save our environments as well as for more unplugged notebook time.
Encryption OptionTravelstar 7K750 is the fifth generation self-encrypting drive (SED) to feature Hitachi’s Bulk Data Encryption. The SED encrypts data using protected keys in real time, providing users the highest level of data protection available. It also speeds and simplifies drive re-purposing. By deleting the encryption key, the data on the drive is rendered unreadable, thereby eliminating the need for time-consuming data-overwrite.
Enhanced Availability (EA)—for 24×7 Access to DataHitachi provides enhanced availability models that allow the Travelstar 7K750 to deliver 24×7 access to data for data-intensive applications requiring round-the-clock operation. The 7K750 provides high capacity, durability and low power utilization on a proven platform for quality and reliability. EA models support the stringent demands of “always-on” applications in lower-transaction environments.

Travelstar 7K750 is a 7200 RPM, 375GB/platter, 2.5-inch hard drive with capacities of 500GB, 640GB and 750GB. This standard 9.5mm, two-disk design, intended for use in notebook PCs, external storage and other mobile applications, uses the industry’s new Advanced Format. Advanced Format increases the physical sector size on hard drives from 512 bytes to 4096 (4K) bytes, which increases drive capacities and improves error correction capabilities.

Hitachi Drive was no good2/27/2018 8:06:23 AM
Pros: The drive fits the case and looks new
Cons: It was a 2013 and I finally went to use the drive and it will not work. So, it is a brick that looks like a drive. My tech said I had a better chance reviving my locked drive than getting this one to work.
Overall Review: I would not recommend this product save your time and tech charges for trying to make something that is broken work.

Pros: Nice and fast. Plenty of room
Cons: The entire harddrive corrupted on my during a reformat. like.. the ENTIRE THING. all 750 (689) gb are all shot.

Pros: It’s shiny and arrived in a nice box.
Cons: DOA

Great Upgrade for my 13″ Macbook Pro!6/8/2012 5:22:29 AM
Pros: Quiet, no noticeable, additional vibration over stock, faster than the old drive in day to day computing, bolted directly into my Late-2010 MBP with no modification. My stock drive was also a Hitachi Travelstar, but it was 5200rpm and 250gb (5K500) FWIW.
Cons: My computer runs a tad warmer with this drive, but warmer is the key word, it never approaches hot. Battery life has also decreased from around 5 hours 30 minutes for my average computing to around 5 hours, but I’ll take the speed for the negligible difference in battery life

Works as expected10/23/2011 10:07:49 AM
Pros: Advanced disk sector format, 7200 RPM, 2 platter. Subjectively, runs a little quicker and quieter than my 7200, 160 GB WD Black. Reasonable pricing for a higher RPM drive.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: About 698 GiB after GB to GiB conversion. Installed Win 7 Ultimate x86-64 without a hitch.
Great HD Upgrade for 2010 MacBook Pro10/20/2011 2:32:55 AM
Pros: -Things seem faster than OEM and definitely should be, given I upgraded from the 320 GB 5400 RPM Samsung Apple put in.
-Spacious. 750GB is all I should need for a while on my lappy.
-…It seems (but could be placebo or new install?) that the battery life has improved.
Cons: -A little louder and some more vibration than normal, but nothing to scream over. The speed increase is worth the gain in volume.
Overall Review: -Well packaged… not just a bubble wrap abomination but an individual box with molded plastic around the drive, inside of a larger bubble-wrapped abomination box. I shipped with FedEx because I have had bad experiences shipping hard drives through UPS.
