The fast, easy way to improve your Desktop’s performance
There’s an easy cure for a slow computer: more memory. Designed to help your system run faster and smoother, Crucial® Desktop Memory is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to improve your system’s performance. Load programs faster. Increase responsiveness. Run data-intensive applications with ease, and increase your desktop’s multitasking capabilities.
Make everything on your computer faster
Memory is a component in your computer that allows for short-term data access. Since your system’s moment-to-moment operations rely on short-term data access – loading applications, browsing the Web or editing a spreadsheet – the speed and amount of memory in your system plays a critical role. Load apps in seconds by increasing the speed of your memory and installing more of it.
Multitask with ease
If you’re like us, you use your computer to do a lot of things at once. You might be editing a document, while also looking at pictures and browsing the Internet. This naturally leads to a performance problem: every app you’re running requires memory and competes for a limited pool of resources. Overcome this by installing high-density modules in each memory slot for seamless multitasking.
Install with ease – no computer skills required
With just a screwdriver, your owner’s manual, and a few minutes of time, you can install memory – no computer skills necessary. Just watch one of our three-minute install videos, and we’ll walk you step-by-step through the process. Don’t pay a computer shop to do something you can do in minutes!
Maximize the value of your system
At a fraction of the cost of a new system, a memory upgrade is one of the most affordable ways to increase performance. Get more out of your desktop by giving it the resources it needs to perform.
Micron quality – a higher level of reliability.
As a brand of Micron, one of the largest memory manufacturers in the world, Crucial Desktop Memory is the standard for reliable performance. From the original SDRAM technology all the way to DDR4, we’ve engineered the memory technologies that have powered the world’s computers for 40 years and counting. When you choose Crucial memory, you’re choosing memory that’s backed by a limited lifetime warranty and designed for the world’s leading systems.1 Don’t settle for anything less.
1. Limited lifetime warranty valid everywhere except Germany, where warranty is valid for 10 years from date of purchase.

Dreadful customer service5/2/2020 6:13:12 PM
Pros: price was reasonable, but nothing amazing considering you can find same price elsewhere.
Cons: there is absolutely no response from the seller when you try to contact them – exactly what you dont want from an online retailer.
Overall Review: After 9 days of no response to emails, ran out of patience as i have to get the PC built so my son can use it for school work – my bad for not realising this was going to take soooo long. ive now ordered the ram from another retailer that can actually guarantee delivery date. If the sticks ever do arrive i will return them to newegg.

Windows 10 crash frequently after upgrade to this 8GB RAM11/5/2020 6:45:16 AM
Overall Review: – Windows 10 crashes frequently despite product is shown as compatible with my DELL Inspiron 3268 Desktop.
– Replaced with the original DELL provided 4GB RAM and it worked fine.
Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for purchasing Crucial memory and for your review. We do not show part number CT8G4DFS8266 as being compatible with your Dell Inspiron 3268 desktop. You will want to return this memory and purchase a part number that is compatible with your PC like part number CT8G4DFS824A. We ask that you reach out to us direct if you happen to have any further questions or concerns so that we can assist you further.

Not good5/23/2020 9:23:40 PM
Cons: Ordered the 16 GB kit (2 x 8 GB). At first, my PC indicated the full amount of RAM was installed, but only half of it was usable. Did some trouble shooting, and found that with one of the sticks installed, the computer booted. With the other, it would not, no matter which RAM slot it was in. Returned the kit and received a replacement no problem. The new kit is DOA. Neither stick registers. Very disappointing!
Overall Review: I have no trust in Crucial memory now. Maybe it’s bad luck, but…maybe not.
Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for purchasing Crucial memory and for your review. I am sorry to hear about the issues that you experienced with your new RAM. Having multiple bad sticks of memory like this would be extremely rare to see. Crucial memory has extremely low fail rates so we are surprised to see that this happened to you. I am not able to see who the seller of the parts were but we would highly recommend that you reach out to us directly so that we can assist you further. We provide free technical support with our products and would love the opportunity to assist you further.

Crucial claims it is not their ram8/11/2022 7:56:32 AM
Pros: Ram worked for a while and then my computer would randomly crash and restart. Tested both sticks (one at a time) with memtest and one of the sticks failed the test due to “too many errors found”. Newegg was awesome in resolving the issue.
Cons: One of the sticks failed after 1.5 years (not gaming, just regular office stuff use) and after contacting Crucial and mailing them the bad stick, they informed me that it was not their ram.
Overall Review: The ram worked fine while it did. As mentioned above, Newegg resolved the issue without any hesitation. Thank you Newegg for your dedication to customer service and that is why I have been a customer for almost 2 decades now.
