Works well11/19/2016 3:57:20 PM
Pros: No issue with it.
Cons: none
Overall Review: I just put it in an old laptop that doesn’t get heavy usage.
Good drive for the price.6/27/2012 12:07:05 PM
Pros: This is a solid drive and an excellent warranty.
Cons: Granted there are a few bad drives out there. But between newegg rma and the 3 year warranty from hitachi you will get a new one within a couple of weeks.
Terrible drive, failed within a month4/10/2012 5:52:46 PM
Pros: None
Cons: Terrible quality
Overall Review: I bought this drive to replace the original Hitachi drive which failed in a Toshiba notebook. This new drive failed within 30 days of installation. Since it was not eligible for RMA to Newegg, I had to RMA it to Hitachi GST at my own cost , nearly $20.
In addition to this cost, all the time I spent reinstalling the OS and software that my kids use was wasted. I’m very unhappy about it.
Manufacturer Response:
I’m sorry to read of your drive experience, and we would like to explore this more. Please contact the Technical Support Center with the serial number of the drive, so that we can further explore this issue with you. Please let us know that you are responding to a Newegg review. Thank you.
