Monster DIMMs7/4/2018 4:34:20 PM

Pros: -Uses Samsung B-Die memory chips, highly coveted for overclocking
-RGB if you want it, looks nice and works with Aura Sync
-great performance, amazing performance when overclocked

Cons: -price, ouch
-could probably overclock other, cheaper, B-Die to this frequency
-not sure if there is a difference between this DIMM vs the non Ryzen sticks, maybe a marketing thing. They only say it is “optimized” for Ryzen, it would be nice to know what optimization was done.

Overall Review: I purchased this ram set to have the guarantee that I would be able to hit 3200mhs with my 2700x and they did not disappoint. Once the XMP profile was activated I had zero problems running at 3200mhz with good results in benchmarks. Using Ryzen DRAM calculator I set my timings to 3466mhz 14-14-14-28 at 1.385V and it started first try without any issues. I feel confident these could probably even be pushed to 3600mhz without a problem.
I have had some issues with the RGB reverting to solid red when resetting or turning off my computer but I have a feeling it may be a driver issue since when I go back into Asus Aura menu and reapply the previous setting it immediately starts working again.
Really my only hesitation to recommend this product is the $8 difference between this and F4-3200C14D-16GTZR. Not sure what you are really getting for those eight bucks.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Good to hear this memory kit is working well in your ASUS ROG X399 ZENITH EXTREME motherboard. Ideally 4 modules should be installed in this system, but 2 for dual channel is still plenty fast for most users. DDR4-3200 C14 is the perfect spec for extreme performance. So whether the system is for gaming, mining, or multi-tasking, this RAM can handle it all. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you for choosing G.SKILL

PLUG and One click DOPC and boot2/28/2019 12:36:06 AM

Pros: On a TUF B350M $68.99 and a n R5 1600x with the bios 0222 from 8/2017 it runs 3200C14. In a Zenith Extreme dual channel 3200C14 I tried 3333 and 3466C14 all three worked. Feb. 2019 I added two more sticks and ran Quad channel 3466C14. Flawless.

Cons: NONE

Overall Review: BUY again ? YES
Recommend to others? YES
It is exactly what they said it is. 3200C14 on a cheap micro board with the original bios from 2017. Two of these kits ran 3466C14 quad channel on a Zenith Extreme board with just two clicks in the bios. G Skill GTZRX is worth the difference in price. I don’t know about the kits that are CL16 but this CL14 must be Samsung B-die. I’m no bios guru and it was easy.

Awesome!5/7/2020 3:10:48 PM

Pros: -Samsung B-die
-Great Cas Latency (cl14)
-RGB
-Overclocks well
-Exactly what I wanted Performance and aesthetics

Cons: None

Overall Review: I have mine overclocked to 3600mhz with tighter timings (14-14-14-28-45 @1.45v) and really tight sub timings. I own the 3600 cl18 as well but with looser timings. With this ram overclocked with this timing I see anywhere from 3-12 more fps gain. I haven’t tried yet but I feel like I could go up to 3800mhz. These are great if your looking to get a bit more gains in your ryzen system.
