XMP Profile Didn’t Work – But This RAM is GREAT (please read for more details)6/4/2021 10:26:44 AM

Cons: -XMP Profile settings didn’t allow my PC to boot (as this RAM isn’t on my motherboard’s QVL list so that’s my own fault)

Overall Review: But even though XMP failed, manually enabling the SPD settings and just decreasing the frequency by 1-2 levels made this RAM work amazingly! So instead of sitting at 4266Mh (at which it wouldn’t boot as this RAM isn’t on my MoBo’s QVL list – so I’m a goof lol), I just lowered it down to 4133 (still wouldn’t boot) and then down to 4100. Thankfully, at 4100, my desktop booted right up!

But aside from the XMP profile fail, this RAM is still pretty awesome. I wasn’t anticipating this at all (and so I’m not aware of what could be causing this), but I literally just upgraded from 16GB at 3200Mhz to 32GB at 4100Mhz….but now, whenever I game, my performance is around 20-30FPS better… So I really don’t know if this is somehow related to the capacity of the RAM or the extra speed that it has… Being that I don’t run anything in the background whilst gaming, I doubt that it’s the capacity… But how the heck can such a small speed difference give me that much of a performance boost???

Either way, if you’re willing to POTENTIALLY manually enter your RAM settings into the BIOS (if you have an older motherboard), then feel free as this stuff definitely gets the job done!
